Wheat beer glasses
What are wheat beer glasses?
Weissbier, also known as wheat beer, is brewed with malted wheat. The addition of wheat gives the beer a lighter color than most other beers. Weissbier is usually top-fermented and is served in the classic wheat beer glass. In German wheat beer, the wheat yeast is not filtered out, so the beer remains cloudy. A beer glass for wheat beer is at least 23 centimetres high, has a thick base, a slender neck and a bulbous shape at the top.

Thanks to the special shape of the glasses, the carbon dioxide bubbles rise slowly, so you can enjoy fresh, sparkling wheat beer for a long time at a party. If you look at the appearance of the wheat beer glasses in our store, you will notice that they are relatively large glasses. The thick base, slim neck and belly at the top give a wheat beer glass its characteristic look.

The different beer glasses
As a rule, a wheat beer glass has a capacity of 500ml. For beer drinkers who are less thirsty for beer, you should also keep glasses with a capacity of 0.3 liters in your home bar. In our store you will find branded wheat beer glasses, with and without logos, such as König Ludwig, Franziskaner, Augustiner and Erdinger wheat glasses, to name but a few. You can also opt for complete sets of glasses.
You drink wheat beer from 23 cm high glasses. A Pilsner, on the other hand, is served at an event such as a wedding in a Pilstulpe, a thin-walled glass that tapers downwards. Pilsner goblets are somewhat smaller and more pot-bellied. An export is a bottom-fermented beer with an original gravity of 12 to 14 percent and an alcohol content of around 5 percent. This export beer is drunk out of cartons.
